What instruments/ensembles are available?
We offer solo violin, strolling violin, solo viola, solo cello, solo classical guitar, violin/classical guitar duo, a classical guitar duo, violin/cello duo, violin/trumpet duo, trumpet and organ, string trio and string quartet. If you do not see the ensemble you would like, I will be happy to put together a group for you!
I don’t know much about music. Will you help me choose the music for my event?
Of Course! I will walk you through the music selection process step by step. Check the website for a list and I will be happy to perform any selection for you. The highlighted selections have recordings on the website.
How do I book “ALV” for my event?
Fill out the inquiry form on the contact page of our website. We will discuss availability and ensemble requests. Once you decide to hire “ALV” we will give you a writtten contract that will provide the details of what we provide for your event. You will return one copy of the signed contract with a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% is due 60 days before the event.
Are we able to perform outdoors?
Yes! We will perform outdoors as long as it is not raining or extremely cold. Precipitation and low temperatures will damage the instruments. We have battery powered amplification for outdoor events.
Do we come to the rehearsal?
We will discuss all the details of your special day before the wedding date. We typically do not come to the rehearsal unless you request so, which will be an additional fee. Our musicians have played several weddings and will consult with the planner at the wedding for any last minute changes.
Do we work with brides who do not live in the area?
Yes! We will be happy to email, skype or talk on the phone to make all the arrangements for your wedding ceremony.
Can we play special music with your organist or a vocalist?
Yes! We have often played special music with a vocalist or the organist at your church. We require you to make your request two months in advance. If we need to arrange the music, there will be an extra fee.
Do I need to provide anything for the musicians?
We require one straight backed chair without arms for each musician.
Are there any travel fees?
And I Love Her Violins provides services in the Ocala, Orlando, Crystal River area of Florida and the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Travel to a location outside of 50 mile radius will incur a travel fee.
Am I hiring professional musicians?
All of the musicians with And I Love Her Violins have degrees in music. Many of the musicians are present or former members of the Virginia Symphony. We are all professional musicians who love what we do!
